Housing and Amenities
Columbus Shopping Centre's diverse range of shops and amenities together with its central location attract around 8 million customers annually. The shopping centre contains 50 shops including supermarkets, clothes shops, an alcohol store, a pharmacist, a post office, and many cafes and restaurants.

It is easy to visit Columbus: there are plenty of parking spaces and excellent public transport services from the nearby areas. Busses and the underground run via the shopping centre, connecting Vuosaari directly to central Helsinki.

Culture and services
You can also find near the underground station the city's social and health care services, the Vuosaari Sports Centre and the cultural centres Vuotalo and Nordsjö-Rastis. Vuosaari has many nurseries and pre-schools, some of which operate in foreign languages or are specialised in some other ways. There are also many Finnish-speaking schools and one Swedish-speaking school. Many hotels with conference facilities and Rastila camp site offer services for visitors.
