Vuosaari has excellent logistical connections and great public transport services. Vuosaari is the most international of Helsinki's neighbourhoods, and it is the centre for Finland's foreign trade.

Foreign trade centre
The Vuosaari Harbour is the most modern harbour on the Baltic Sea. The cargo operations of the Port of Helsinki are concentrated at the new, efficient and safe harbour that specialises in container, truck and trailer shipments.

With the completion and development of the Vuosaari Harbour, the Port of Helsinki will further strengthen its role as the main port for Finland's foreign trade. The total capacity of Helsinki's harbours will double and transit traffic can also be served well. A third of Finland's foreign trade, in terms of its value, goes through the Vuosaari Harbour.

Sea park - business park
The benefits offered by the Vuosaari Harbour Centre include frequent connections to the most important European ports, competitive and flexible harbour and logistics services, and direct transport links to Finland's major road and rail networks.

Meriportti Business Park is being built in connection to the harbour and the first businesses are already operating there. The transport links built for the harbour connect the area to the national rail network and, via the Kehä III ring road, to Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport, which is 20 minutes away. The cargo is transported efficiently from Vuosaari to the rest of Finland via the ring roads Kehä I and Kehä III.
