The Vuosaari joint marketing project is aimed at ensuring that the development of the area's economy will be diverse and that Vuosaari continues to be a pleasant place attracting companies and residents to the area.

The developments in the area have, already for a long time, been in the interest of the local residential and entrepreneurial groups such as the p, Vuosaari-Foundation, Vuosaari Society and Eastern Helsinki Entrepreneurs Society. The joint marketing project continues the work the groups have done in this field before.

The Vuosaari of the future is a neighbourhood next to the sea and nature and, with its 40,000 residents, it will be the size of a small town. Thanks to its excellent transport connections, many see Vuosaari having what it takes to attract businesses, particularly those in the logistics, technology and education sectors. The profile of Vuosaari reflects the area's pulling power and good quality. After the completion of its harbour, this seaside working and living area will be an exceedingly unique place in Helsinki.
